A special present for Mum

But was she grateful? No she was NOT. Took us aside. And explained very slowly (like we're thick or something) that we are NOT allowed to do our own thing.

Evidently "proper" gundogs sit at their master's side. And retrieve on command only once game has been shot. Uuuh? Well obviously redgirls have no intention whatsoever of remembering *that* particular little lecture. Cut out the middlemen say we! Save the planet!

Thanks to mum's meddling this pheasant got away. And was only just a little less bushy in the tail feather department. It was a hot day so we expect he felt cooler. He was probabably grateful to the redgirls for their help.

Awesome work red girls! I nearly got to eat a pigeon last night but boring folks made me come back to them. I could have done with a few feather trophies at least!

oh charly, see why the redgirls would trump the working trials (ehem...are xcluded from them?)

you know radio's pigeon story....

well redgirls, country living ain't bad, so if the food ever runs out here in the city i know who will provide (i'd be useless in catching a rabbit or pheasant, but i suspect that radio could learn very fast).

Congratulations. You did so well. I am Ziggi - 3yr old vizsla. I have only ever caught one furry as usually my terrier friend gets there before me. I don't even get a taste of hers as she gobbles it all herself.
I too get called away from furries if I see them. It is so unfair.
All the best

My mum is doing Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Chester University. She has said that afterwards she wants to train dogs for dogs for the disabled. She gets me and Pesto doing all of these fun tricks for sausages and ham - I love it. She trains me to do the vizsla vertical jump on command which is my favorite. She did want to do gundog work with me but I don't like putting anything in my mouth - but I am sure I could cope with a real bird. Thanks for trying to get over the disapointment of me being a girl - I won't hog the boys cos I am scared of most dogs. Thanks

hello redgirls, I enjoy reading your blog, my birthday was the same day as you got your lecture. I get lectures all the time, I don't listen either. Wiz and squiggy got chased by a deer the other day, after they got a lecture for eating a vole.
